GoodLaw Solicitors secures Legal Aid franchise for Family, Abuse Claims and Clinical Negligence

GoodLaw Solicitors are pleased and proud to announce that their Family Law, Historic Abuse Claims and Clinical Negligence teams have been successful in their tender to provide legal aid funding to clients in those areas of law.

The tender process is lengthy and demanding. Emma Taylor, Chartered Legal Executive in the Family team, who managed the firm’s legal aid franchise application from start to finish, says:

After a lengthy, highly scrutinised process, it is a fantastic outcome for GoodLaw Solicitors that we are now in a position to offer legal aid services across these areas of law.  Even more significantly, when firms locally are stepping away from legal aid, this gives us the opportunity to offer services which provide access to justice for our clients where it otherwise may not be possible.”

Having been granted a legal aid franchise in these complex areas of law puts GoodLaw Solicitors in an enviable position amongst their competitors. Not only does it demonstrate that the firm has rigorous risk and file management procedures in place, but it also further expands the methods in which our clients can fund their cases or claims.

In today’s climate of austerity, GoodLaw Solicitors believe that it is more important than ever to be in a leading position when offering expert legal advice to all clients, including those in the most vulnerable sectors of our society.
