Help to Buy Scheme – Note to all interested buyers:

This will be available to First Time Buyers ONLY from April 2021 and the scheme as such is not expected to continue beyond April 2023 (although things can obviously change).

The scheme has its advantages (you only need 5% deposit ) and disadvantages (only applies to new builds, negative equity danger, after year 6 you pay HTB fees which don’t reduce the loan).

If you are interested in the Scheme, please note that anyone who is not a first time buyer, should note that the next year deadline when only first time buyers can use the scheme is looming…
